Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio

Angle enters the arena first and waits for Mysterio, expecting him to emerge from the stage area. However, Mysterio is behind Kurt standing on the mat and spins in to give back to back hurricanranans. The two tussle away, Angle misses an Anke Lock but takes control with a what the announcers say is a "ground based attack". Angle hits a flying Germand Suplex then tries for another, but Mysterio blocks it by holding onto the ropes. Mysterio then flips Angle over and gets a two count but Angle jumps out and slams Mysterio into a backbreaker that gets a two count as well.

Angle pulls Mysterio's head back, arching his back and prompting the ref to call for a break. He pushes Mysterio into one of the corners and punches away with several right hands until finally Mysterio ducks under one. Mysterio tries for another Hurricanrana but Angle catches it and reverses it into a slam that gets a two count. Angle puts on a half Boston Crab but Mysterio refuses to give up. Out of nowhere, Mysterio reverses it into a pinning attempt but Angle kicks out and continues his assault exactly where he left off.

More right hands by Angle drop Mysterio but the little guy fights back and tries for the Sunset Flip but Angle sits on him and then misses a right hand. Mysterio charges off the ropes but runs right into a belly to belly flip after which Angle signals for the finish. He tries an Angle Slam but Mysterio counters it with arm drag and flips Angle on to the outside, allowing Mysterio to recover. Mysterio comes running trying for some sort of plancha but the referee stops him. Mysterio ignores the warning, backs up and hits a rolling Senton, followed by a huge springboard legdrop but Angle kicks out.

Angle finally catches Mysterio in another top rope move and puts in the Ankle Lock but Mysterio fights out and hits the 6-19 followed by a Hurricanrana that gets a very near three count. Reverse kick by Mysterio allows him another chance to head to the top. From there, Mysterio flips over a charging Angle and drop kicks Angle who is now perched on the top. Mysterio tries a Hurricanrana again but Angle counters and reverses the move into an Ankle Lock. Mysterio tries to reach the ropes, but Angle pulls him back into the middle of the ring where Mysterio eventually taps out.

Winner via submission: KURT ANGLE.

Stephanie McMahon & Eric Bischoff Meet Up

Backstage, Stephanie McMahon tells a WWE employee to go tell Eric Bischoff to try and top that match. Steph enters her dressing room and sees Eric Bischoff sitting there. Steph demands to know what he's doing there and Eric answers by saying that it's neutral ground, it's Summerslam. Stephanie says sure, she'd like to see the look on his face as Smackdown! rules over Raw. They both sit down to watch the festivities unfold on TV.

Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross take their usual position which I assume means they will be commentating the next match.

Chris Jericho vs. Ric Flair

Before the match we see a quick recap of how this feud came about. Jericho enters the arena first, Flair follows him out soon thereafter.

The two men lockup but Jericho pushes Flair into the corner where they exchange slaps. Another lockup and they take each other down right into a pin attempt by Flair. They stare each other down and Jericho responds by kicking Flair in the gut before choking him in the corner. Whip to the other side and a high back bodydrop, clothesline and suplex. Jericho follows it up by missing an elbow and Flair goes to work with a bunch of chops but he too misses a backbodydrop.

The two men head into the corner where they exchange chops before Flair is whipped to the other side where he gets all flipped over after which Jericho throws him to the outside. On the outside, Jericho clotheslines Flair on the barricade and then heads to the top where he drops a right hand onto Ric's back. Jericho throws Flair back in where he continues to punch away but Flair keeps getting back. Ric finally blocks a punch and responds with more chops but then runs into an elbow. Jericho takes the opportunity to hit a dropkick which gets an easy two count twice.

Jericho then heads to one of the corners and tries to take the padding off, but the ref stops him so Jericho goes over to Flair and chokes him out with some tape. They fight back and forth with more chops and punches and Flair keeps falling every once in a while. Jericho slowly makes his way to the top but Flair catches him there and bodyslams him all the way back down. Jericho misses a charge and eats post so Flair does what he does best - respond with more chops and then a high back bodydrop. A suplex follows but Jericho kicks out so Flair punches some more and then tries a suplex which Jericho counters into the Walls of Jericho. He can't get it on the whole way and Flair hits an inside cradle but Jericho storms out of it and hits chops of his own.

Bulldog by Jericho and looks for the Lionsault, but Flair moves out of the way and retaliates with some more chops. Flair tries to get the Boston Crab but Jericho fights out of it and turns it into a figure four leglock, which of course is Flair's own finisher. This lasts about a minute or two until Flair finally reaches the ropes and then taps out immediately thereafter. Jericho thinks he won, but the ref says that he reached the ropes before the tapout. Jericho hangs Flair on the middle ropes and charges from the other side, but Ric moves and chops Jericho right into Charles Robinson. With the ref dazed, Flair lowblows Jericho and then hits the Figure Four leg lock. The ref comes to and soon thereafter Jericho taps out!

Winner: Ric Flair via submission.

Jerry Lawler and JR harp over whether Flair originally tapped out before he reached the ropes and they suggest that it was a controversial finish.

Paul Heyman Talks to Brock Lesnar

Backstage, Paul Heyman talks about the Hulk Hogan DVD and Heyman says it's only becuase Hulk's career is over. Heyman then talk about the match with the Rock and how the battle is half won already because Brock has successfully gotten into the Rock's head. Heyman concludes by saying that tonight the next big thing will arrive today.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Edge

Michael Cole and Edge are back commentating for this match so looks like they will alternate throughout the night with Lawler and JR. Maybe they already said that and I missed it as usual. Anywho...

Eddie enters first, Edge follows the match starts immediately with a tie up and arm tie up. Edge takes control early but they counter each other's tieups some more before Eddie reverse clotheslines Edge across the top rope. Irish whip, Edge monkey flips over Eddie and then drops him and gets a two count. Edge takes Guerrero over to the ropes and ties him up and then comes charging in with a spear but misses with a second attempt. The match heads to the outside where Edge apparently has injured his shoulder and so Guerrero works on it, throwing him into the steel steps.

Back in the ring, Guerrero kicks away on Edge continually working away on the left shoulder which Cole says is the same shoulder Edge hurt in his steel cage match last month. Guerrero tries for a cover, but Edge kicks out so Eddie kicks him some more before twisting his arm back in a figure four handlock. More kicks by Eddie and continued work on the arm including some sort of modified submission that almost has Edge submitting.

They finally get back and Guerrero flattens Edge with a clothesline but Edge springs up amazingly and bodyslams Guerrero before going back to selling his arm injury. Edge clotheslines Eddie a few times with his right hand and then backdrops him before charging right into an elbow. Edge surprises Guerrero with a face plant and then suplexes him over the top and on to the outside. Edge takes the chance to head to the top where he hits a modified high cross body/shoulder block that only knocks both guys out. They get back into the ring, where Guerrero catches Edge on the top rope but Edge hits a facebuster and then misses a spear as Guerrero dropkicks him.

With Edge down, Guerrero goes to the top and tries for the Frog Splash but Edge puts his knees up and Eddie hits that. Edge immediately hits the Edgecution and goes for the pin, but Guerrero kicks out. With Edge in amazement, Eddie hits a Northern Lights suplex before heading to the top once again for the Frog Splash. Edge gets up and attacks Eddie there and they battle away with Eddie headbutting the injured shoulder. He knocks off Edge and then Frog Splashes the injured shoulder but Edge still kicks out!

A frustrated Guerrero continues to work on the arm but Edge comes out of nowhere to hit the Spear and get a pinfall victory.

Winner: Edge via pinfall.

Lance Storm & Christian vs. Booker T & Goldust

Backstage, Jonathan Coachman interviews the UnAmericans. Christian says they are excited to defend their titles and expose Booker T and Goldust. Lance Storm chips in and takes some shots at the Long Island audience and that's about it.

Goldust and Booker T come out to a modest ovation, while the Un-Americans (all three of them) enter to a chorus of boos. Goldust and Christian start things off with Christian kneeing Goldust in the mid-section but Goldust responding with a butt to the face. Quick tag to Lance Storm who doesn't fare much better falling into an Atomic Drop before Booker T tags in. Booker with a sidewalk slam and a knee drop and a cover but Storm slips out. Tag to Goldust who hits an elbow from the middle rope before uppercutting Storm and then Christian. Storm throws Goldust to the outside and with the ref's back turned, Christian assaults Goldust and throws him back in for Storm.

Storm tries a cover, but Goldust kicks out so Lance kicks away on his back and punches away on his face. Tag to Christian who continues the kicking and punching but Goldust tries to fight back to no avail. A rake to the face and Christian pushes Goldust back into his corner where they doubleteam away as the ref gets distracted by Booker T. Match progresses until finally, Storm misses a dropkick and hits a chokeslam knocking both he and Storm out.

Tag to Christian who puts a face lock on Goldust preventing him from getting anywhere near Booker. Goldust finally makes his away over to his corner and tags out to Booker but the ref has his back turned, doesn't see the tag and sends Booker back out allowing the bad guys to engage in some more double teaming. Cover by Storm but Booker T comes in for the save. Goldust fights back once again, slingshotting the Un-Americans into one another but soon after that, Christian and Goldust double clothesline each other once again laying both men out.

Eventually both wrestlers get up but Storm bothers Booker, causing the ref to stick his nose in there once again. Behind his back, the UnAmericans go for a ConChairTo but miss and each others' chairs instead. Finally, Booker T is tagged in and he goes nuts cleaning house on both his opponents. Several chops and a clothesline knock Christian down so Booker heads to the top and hits a missile dropkick. Goldust heads outside to battle away against Storm and inside Booker misses a Scissors kick. Storm tries a reverse kick but Booker ducks and the referee gets it instead. Booker then proceeds to Scissors kick both his opponents but since the ref is down, he takes the opportunity to give the fans what they want - a Spinaroonie.

Booker T covers Christian but there is no ref. Storm tries to hit Goldust and Booker with one of the titles but they catch him. Goldust goes after Storm and amidst all the chaos, Test comes into the ring and hits a big boot on Booker T, allowing Christian to pin him to retain the titles.

Winners: Lance Storm & Christian via pinfall.

Nidia/Noble @ The World; Stephanie/Bischoff

They head to The World in New York where the winner of a contest gets to make out with Nidia. There are two finalists and Nidia chooses one of them and starts making out with him to Noble's encouragement.

Backstage, Stephanie McMahon and Eric Bischoff marvel at Nidia's action. Bischoff says that she'd be a great addition to the Raw roster and Stephanie says that women like her have only spot in wrestling - on top. They talk about the IC title match and Bischoff comments that it will be nice when RVD brings the title back to Raw. Stephanie says that will never happen.

Chris Benoit vs. Rob Van Dam

Benoit looks like he has a new haircut. They try to lock up but RVD instead kicks Benoit a few times and sends him bailing to the outside. They try to lock up again, but RVD again kicks him in the ribs so Benoit takes him down and puts on a face lock of some sort. RVD gets out of it and hits a springboard high cross body and then hits some punches but misses a clothesline and a kick. Benoit seizes the moment to hit a German suplex, before dropping an elbow right on Van Dam's head. Benoit picks RVD up and throws him into one of the corners before flattening him with a clothesline. Cover but RVD gets his left shoulder up. Punishing back breaker by Benoit but another two count results.

Snap suplex by Benoit and another cover, but RVD kicks out. Arm bar into a submission by Benoit but Van Dam counters and meets up with a vicious elbow. RVD continues to reverse everything Benoit throws at him but Benoit stops his momentum with another clothesline. Irish whip into the corner but Benoit's charge meets RVD's foot. Van Dam tries for a split legged moonsault but Benoit puts his feet up and then misses the flying headbutt. RVD looks for the Five Star Frog Splash but he too misses so Benoit pounces on him and gets the Crippler Crossface on.

RVD reaches the ropes with his feet and we cut backstage to see the dueling GMs both watching the action live on their backstage TV. Both guys appear to be bleeding from the mouth. RVD tries to go up to the top but Benoit comes running at him and pushes him all the way to the mat on the outside. Arm wring into the steel post by Benoit and he throws RVD back in where he hits a shoulder breaker and an elbow across the neck. Benoit drags Van Dam back into the middle of the ring and there he slaps and chops him before Irish whipping him across and then punishing him with a reverse forearm.

The match progresses with more moves and counters until Van Dam misses the Rolling Thunder and falls straight into the Crippler Crossface. RVD gets out of it but Benoit counters it into a pinning attempt but it doesn't go anywhere so Benoit throws RVD into the steel post. Hammerlocked Northern Lights suplex three times by Benoit and he once again puts the Crippler Crossface on right in the center of the ring. RVD gets close to the ropes so Benoit lets go of the hold and puts on a Dragon Sleeper but RVD reverses it into a Crippler of his own.

They continue to go at it with RVD hitting the Rolling Thunder but a cover only gets a two count. Spinning heel kick and another cover but another near fall. RVD misses a monkey flip but he hopes to the top rope where Benoit crotches him and then German Suplexes him but it's countered mid-air into a body cross. RVD springs up and hits the Five Star Frog Splash and wins back the Intercontinental Title! Backstage, Eric Bischoff is cheering and Stephanie buries her head into her arms.

Winner: Rob Van Dam via pinfall.

More Bischoff/Stephanie

Backstage, Bischoff bugs Stephanie about losing the IC title to Raw. He says that from now on she can watch the IC title on Raw. Stephanie stares at him and just laughs and walks away...I guess insinuating indirectly that she may have acquired the services of RVD.

Test vs. Undertaker

Test comes in waving the upside American flag. Undertaker emerges after that to a nice ovation. When Taker enters the ring, Test takes off to the outside leaving Taker to pose for the fans for a bit. The match finally gets going and Taker surprises us all by doing a leap-frog. Test fights back with several knees to the midsection but Taker responds with a flying clothesline. Taker busts out a few arm wrings and then the top rope walk but Test shoves the referee into the ropes, crotching Taker. Test follows it up with a huge punch that knocks Undertaker to the outside and he meets him there to deliver more punches. Taker fights back though but is thrown into the steel steps affording Test the opportunity to break the count, kick Taker some more and then throw him back into the ring.

Inside, Test continues his assault cornering Taker in the corner and dropping him with some elbow shots and a boot to the neck. Taker goes downstairs but Test knees him in the face and whips him to the other side, following up with a clothesline against the turnbuckle. Taker once again fights back but he's put into an arm bar that slows the match down even more. Test misses a clotheslines so Taker hits a belly to back suplex but soon both guys are up and going toe to toe in the middle of the ring, exchanging lefts and rights.

Test tries a back body drop but Taker sees it coming and DDTs him but Test kicks out. Taker then tries another top rope walk and this time he hits it. Test misses a big boot and runs into a big chokeslam with Taker going for the cover, but Test kicks out. Taker signals for the Last Ride but out of nowhere, the other UnAmerican members interfere but Undertaker manages to fight them off too with two chokeslams. But when he turns around, Test comes charging in with a big boot but Taker kicks out this time! Test goes nuts on the referee and in frustration goes to the outside to grab a chair. Against the refs warnings, Test brings it in but Taker kicks the chair right back into his face. Test turns around, Taker picks him up, hits the Tombstone piledriver and gets the win!

Winner via pinfall: Undertaker.

After the match, Taker goes into the audience and grabs an American flag and raises it up, but guess what...he has it upside down! No lie! Hahaha...funny. He quickly realizes it and holds it properly.

Triple H had Shawn down and out in the middle of the ring. Triple H picked him up and went for the Pedigree on a steel chair and Shawn countered.

Trish Stratus Confronts Howard Finkel

Trish Stratus meets Howard Finkel in the ring and tells him that she's sorry for slapping him last week and pushing him into the mud. Trish says that she didn't realize how sexy his voice really is. She then goes on to say that the real surprise is Lilian Garcia, who is standing behind Fink. Lilian told Howard that he didn't get rid of her and slapped Howard and then kicked him in the nuts.

The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar

Rock starts off in control but Brock countered a punch into a belly to belly overheard suplex and has since dominated the match. Match shifts to the outside where Heyman gets in some shots and where Brock military presses Rock. Back in, Brock continues to dominate but both men get knocked out and then spring up simultaneously. Rock tries to drop Brock but it only works on the third time after which Rocky DDTs Lesnar and gets a pin attempt.

Rock locks in the Sharpshooter but Heyman stands up on the apron and distracts the referee causing the Rock to come over to knock Heyman down. Rock turns over Lesnar with the sharpshooter but Brock refuses to give up, allowing Heyman to once again distract the ref. Rock lets go and heads towards Heyman and the ref, but Brock attacks him and uses a chair that Heyman threw in all behind the ref's back. Lesnar locks in a bearhug and then turns into a suplex but keeps the move locked in, turning it into a pinning combination in the process.

The ref raises the Rock's arm to see if he's still responding and it falls twice, but not the third time. Brock refuses to let go of the Bear Hug so Rock tries to fight his way out of it, punching Lesnar and eventually breaking the hold. Heyman distracts the ref but it backfires as Rock lowblows Lesnar behind the ref's back. Brock charges in with a flying shoulder into the rib area of the Rock and then tries to repeat it but Rock charges out and clotheslines him. Right hands by the Rock causes Brock to flip over to the outside.

Out there, Heyman tries to attack Rock but is caught and slammed into the announce table. Rock then turns his attention to Lesnar slingshotting him into the post before going back to Paul Heyman who is given a Rock Bottom on the announce table. Back in the ring, Rock sets up Lesnar for the Rock Bottom and hits it. He goes for the cover, but Brock kicks out! Rock gets up in amazement and runs into a Brock-Bottom but the Rock returns the favor by kicking out. Both men are knocked out so the ref starts the count. They get up nearly at the same time, but Lesnar gets whipped into the ropes and into a spinebuster that sets up perfectly for the People's Elbow.

As the Rock runs from one side to the other, Brock just stands up and clotheslines the Rock before picking him up for the F-5. But it's countered by Rock who then goes for another Rock Bottom which is further countered into an F-5 that is successful. Cover and Brock Lesnar wins!
